Surface Signage

On the surface, among divers who cannot contact by speech, because they are distant or because the wind and sea conditions do not allow the mouth regulator to be removed, the signs should be reduced to “I’m fine” or “I’m not well – help”. In this situation divers should be primarily concerned with joining each other.
The same applies to the signalling between the diver on the surface and the vessel, in which case the vessel should approach the diver in the best safety conditions.
ON THE SURFACE, THE DIVER SHOULD NEVER SHAKE THE ARMS OUT OF WATER UNLESS HE FEELS IN DIFFICULTY
